Dark fae who harnessed the power of chaos magick, were wiped from the land. Or so it was thought.

No one knew Faerie Prince Nova and his kingdom of Isla existed, until he broke the spell that was hiding them.

With a cursed father and a mother who sacrificed herself to save her kingdom, Prince Nova has learnt to hide his chaos abilities in order to find peace amongst his kin.

Meanwhile Enkil, a pixie who is rejected from birth and adopted by the vampire Queen Carmilla, has always had a different perspective. He enjoys his freedom of being his own leader, with no responsibility.

So when these two meet by chance, they clash despite their sparks of attraction. Nova is too stiff and guarded while Enkil comes across as arrogant and rude.

Nova is unsettled as he feels the chaos reacting to this… beast. It isn’t long before Enkil happens to discover Nova’s secret.

As they grow closer, can Nova trust him with his secret? What will Enkil choose when the secret comes between Nova and the vampire Queen Carmilla?

The Prince’s Beast is an epic fantasy romance with a queer twist. If you like a hate to love romance with steamy scenes, devious vampires and yummy tension then you will love this sensual story of trust, drama and a lesson on loving yourself and being accepted for who you are.

What People Are Saying

“I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of The Prince’s Beast from the author, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical copy, the cover is so pretty!
The Prince’s Beast is set in the same fantasy world Alex created with her debut YA novel Elan: A son of Song, a world of magic, mystery, pixies and vampires. But this novel, which includes some reference to the debut, is a far more adult story focusing on Enkil, a pixie adopted and raised by vampires, who brazenly walks into the life of Prince Nova, a faerie who has learned to hide his dark magic.
Their relationship soon gets pretty steamy and I would give this a high heat rating, as the two bond, grow closer and learn to love and accept one another.
If you love fantasy world building, magic with a huge dose of steam thrown in between two wonderfully crafted characters, and LGBQT representation then you will love this book. I can’t wait to see where Alex takes this world next..”

“If you’re interested in romance, mystery, and vast world-building, then you’ll want to read The Prince’s Beast.

This was my second read through of The Prince’s Beast, and just like it did the first time, it both shocked and made me wanting more!

We follow the two main characters, Enkil and Nova, from their births to the adventure they take on together. From birth, we see that Enkil essentially been tossed aside by his birth father, going on to be raised by Carmilla, an ancient vampire who to me makes no apologies for her well thought out actions. For Nova, the start of his life began with his mother desperately trying to save their people, but at what cost for the future? When both Enkil and Nova meet, it’s as if curiosity and overshadows fear and risk. The romance in this story is slow, at first, with the two of them dancing with fire and getting to know each other as Nova readies to protect the fae beyond the motherland. In doing so, the flames envelop them both in a connection neither expected to grow.

Did I love this story? Absofreakinglutely. Was the plot consistent and had me shout or shut the book at times to process what I read? Yes, but then I would dive right back into it. If you haven’t read Alex’s book yet, then I highly recommend you do. Her characters are complex, relatable, and beings with power and love that surpasses all else.

Content Warning (as provided by the author) : “It contains steamy scenes of explicit gay sex, cursing and brief violence. This content may be triggering for sensitive readers.”

“Do you enjoy reading fantasy that contains Fae, Pixies, Wolves, Vampires and other wonderful creatures?

If you do then you should definitely dive into the life and world of Nova and Enkil. A lovestory between a prince of a forgotten island and the adopted son of a well respected Queen.

A beautifully written LGBTQ+ romance fantasy storyline that I enjoyed so much.

I truly enjoyed this book. After delving into the world of Elan to this has been incredible. I loved that it bought back back some much loved characters such as Carmilla (My favourite queen) and Alain (was my favourite prince but Nova has definitely took that spot). We got to see their character and personalities more and see into their lives and laws which was amazing.

More importantly I love the new characters introduced Enkil, Nova and my favourite pet Grà. I love watching the character growth in Nova as he gets to know Enkil and the way Enkil changes when he gets to know Nova.

I do not want to spoil any of the book for anyone so I will say. This has been a journey, the epilogue did make me cry. I can’t believe that plot twist and I do hope another book will be written (selfishly so I can find out what happens) *Screams in excitement* .

I will start with the epilogue, as I read the book I had no idea what was coming but that, the plot twist was just not it. My heart goes out to Nova and what he will have to go through when he finds out what has happened.

All the effort he went through in the book only to be told…..

The book itself was incredible, from the magical yet mysterious front Cover to the story it held within.

Watching Nova grow made me attached to him. And the relationship between him and Enkil made my heart flutter and lips smile. Sometimes it made me angry especially when it came to a certain vampires son but then they always found their way back to eachother.

I reccomend this book 100%
If you enjoy LGBTQ books
Romances
Fantasy creatures
Vampires
Fae, fairies and pixies
Then this book is for you. Even if you don’t enjoy those types of book or you are looking for something new to read I reccomend this book. It’s an easy read and an amazing storyline. I will definitely be reading it again and it definitely earned all its five stars.”
